Early in the week they were hitting 2.5" chartreuse Bobby Garland Scent WigglR and 3" white Berkeley PowerBait grubs w/ 1/16 chart head. Morning was much more productive of course.

Thanks Mr. Dang. Wasn't a total loss since I did catch one! WOOHOMG Anyways, banks and trails are pretty much dried out again, unless they were just completely shaded the whole day. Of course, by the waterline it will still be slick. Water should start to clear tomorrow hopefully, might be Saturday for the best fishing again...so get out there and get you some!

Went back this afternoon to Miller bridge. Saw some people catching dinkers at the dam with cut shad, other than that it has been dead. de

Best to just get on google maps and see where you think you can park. It looks like there is an access road on the southwest corner of Bush and RC, haven't tried it though. Anytime I fish there, it's quite a walk from where I find to park. Careful if you try to park at Pleasant Valley. They are doing construction there and I bet would easily tow you if in the way, or just maybe push your car into the creek for more underwater structure. roflmao

When I got into some in January.. I would just pitch the jighead without a bobber into the current and bounce it off the bottom back to me. They would knock slack in my like when they hit. I was using a 1/4 oz jighead.

Thanks Anthony. appreciate your help. i was thinking 1/4 would be bit heavy for a shallow stream, but sounds like it works for RC.

Worst day ever to expect a straight answer, but is anyone still catching hybrids at the creek, as in the past few days? Lavon dam? 78 bridge?

A little bird told me he caught several yesterday afternoon in deep spots, before crowds started moving in.

The City of Garland has begun construction of the Pleasant Valley Road and bridge project. Due to the immense size of the project, the overall construction schedule spans from now into 2018.

The City of Garland will be closing Old Miles Road between Pleasant Valley Road and Castle Drive for an early phase of construction. At this time the City of Garland anticipates closing Old Miles Road to through traffic beginning on April 11th, and it will be closed for approximately 2 months.

Pleasant Valley Road will remain open to traffic. However, the construction activity is significant. Motorists should expect delays. It is recommended that motorists seek an alternate route. Please follow all traffic control in and around the construction area.

Pleasant Valley is the least of your worries, half of the new Miller Bridge just fell. Apparently it wasn't properly rated and an 18 wheeler triggered it.

Think the spawn run just ended early. Trying to find news link...

Edit: Found it! - http://www.headlines-news.com/2016/17/885717/miller-bridge-is-closed-again

Good thing they had it barricaded off for fishing and pedestrians. Hope no one was underneath it.
