Got a wild hair and decided to fish Tradinghouse for the first time last week. It's pretty close to me, so why not.
Spent the first hour marking brush in 15-25' water, then went back and started fishing. About every 3rd or 4th BP produced fish. Bite was very light, and fish were on the very bottom in 14-18' piles. Half were females that hadn't spawned yet. Not many big fish, but lots of 11-12" keepers. Fished from about 11-3 and kept a limit.
Neat little lake.
Oh, did I mention the lake record? 
Picked up this chunk of a white crappie that was 2.17lbs on my scales. Figured that little lake didn't have a big record, and sure enough it was only 1.94lbs. I've caught a lot bigger crappie, but thought what the heck...let's see what it takes to certify a lake record. Took it to a nearby state park the next day and it was still 2.10lbs on their certified scales. Paperwork only took a few minutes, and then took a bunch of pics with measurements. Gotta be the heaviest 14.5" fish I've ever caught. She was built like a tank! 
So I guess in 6-8 weeks I'll have a lake record to my name.

thats impressive, found and marked piles, than a limit and record first go.. congrats.. if you can do that on that lake, you can do it anywhere. !!! 
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

what did you catch the big girl on? /color

what did you catch the big girl on? /color White/Chart MrCrappie ShadPole on a pink jig head Gotta thank DW for the color recommendation. I would have gone darker based on the water color, but they wanted bright & light colors.

That is absolutely fantastic, Mr. Walker. Heck of a job being able to go out, find structure, and wear out the fish on a brand new lake. That letter of recognition is going to look good on the wall!
