What? You mean to tell me that all fishermen don't tell the truth? shocked

You know it takes a lot of courage to call someone else out in a non-bashing, tactful way. You were able to deliver truth with respect wrapped around it. That is tough. Its obvious you are not trying to smear his name but call out the bad behavior.
Thank you for doing it in such a way that was respectful and kind and fair.

You know what would be awesome, if he admitted it, gave an apology and promised to change. That would show true remorse and character, rather than walking away and pretending it didn't happen. We all make mistakes in the heat of the moment but it take big cajones to admit them and then have your behavior change too.

just my .02

None of you have EVER told a fish story? You have never done ANYTHING to get ahead in your own lives that might cross the integrity line? "Let he who is without sin first cast a stone at her" Telling a lie is not good but forgiving someone is!

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Forgiveness doesn't necessarily save you from the consequences of your actions... he may be forgiven but his reputation will be tainted from here on..unless he changes.

I dont understand the point of not identifying the guide? If anything it just makes us speculate and potentially put good solid honest guides in harms way. If you dont want to smear his/her name then why post in the first place? Not knowing who he/she is isnt really helping anyone who may be looking for a guide imo.

I read his thread this morning. I didn't think much of it except for the wording was kind of weird. If I could remember his name, I would post it here. It said something like he had met somebody to set up some electronics and the fishing hadn't been that good but then they found them and look at what his customer had caught or something like that.
