It's tough, light, sensitive, cheap, and easily replaceable if you break it.

I have one better.. See it here $50 here I bought this on a whim and now I am finding that I like it better than my gl-2 Gloomis...for $37 can't be beat...just saw they are out of stock, Amazon does sell them for 37$ but it says 1-2month ship time...looks like they sold most of them to a reseller who is now selling them for $50...even still its an excellent rod for $50 or wait 2 months and pay 37 per rod.

CRUZ that rod is graphite and medium heavy. Not really a crank rod. I am a believer in the cherrywood though! I have two and will be getting another soon.

That rod is a wet noodle man. . .good luck with it . . .but if it were me I'd want just a little more backbone.

You really need to broaden your horizons. At one time, I thought the BPS Crankin' Stik was one of the better rod, UNTIL I got some custom rod built for my standards. At $250-$300, you get EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT ON THEM AND NOTHING YOU DON'T WANT ON THEM. Of course, you can buy the Dobyn's 764 CB RM rod and do it too, for less than you can have a TOP NOTCH custom built rod made for you. EXPAND YOUR UNIVERSE!!!!!!!! Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

I agree you get what you pay for but there are very few of us that are willing to pay $250 to $300 on a ML cranking rod. Too many good options for $100 bucks or less. Now for a big deep diving cranking stick I will expand my universe and go up to a couple hundred.

Duckett 7' Med is a good stick for the $. I've got a couple Duckett cranking rods. Great rods and I think they were under $150 each. One is 7' 11" for big cranks and I think the other one is 7 foot.

BPS cranking stick is just fine for me. Around $60 IIRC, less if you buy it during the spring fishing event like I did.
