Awesome! I'd just like to catch one hybrid this year and I'd be happy! Maybe on my next trip I can locate one.

Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

Well, Nick and I had a big group of 8 that we took out today. Today was on FIRE. There wasn't 5 minutes that went by that somebody didn't have a fish on, other than walking to another pocket.. Probably not even 2-3 minutes, honestly. Caught probably between 300-350 fish. All fish from our group today were caught and released. After our group this morning left, Nick and I went to scout some different areas out, and decided to keep a limit for our freezers. The two of us had our limit from two holes in less than an hour. Did I mention today was on freaking fire?! Cause it was. Great day of fishing. Brought minnows, but didn't need them. Flukes. My limit, along with a couple yellows and a nice eating size drum. I'll let Nick post his limit pic. Lol Happy Easter by the way!

What lures jig sizes and how they jig. The good news is hybrids are hungry all across North Texas. Go get them.

Does anyone know if it gets deeper again on the other side of the giant pipe that goes across the creek? I was at the gun range yesterday and didn't do so well. Slipped into the creek also

Theres a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot. Steven Wright

I went past that pipe on Sat AM, while it was slow. Long walk, but yes it is deep for a good stretch up there. There is even a rope swing, if you want to go swimming.
