Afternoon trip was HOT! After a SLOW morning, things caught on fire. Found fish stacked up in several holes. 1-3' for the most part. We'd catch several from the hole, and move to the next to give the hole some rest, and so on, and would move back down and start over again. Filled the stringers pretty quickly. All mags! Even found a few fat females. Probably a quarter or so were female. Flukes and minnows. Happy Clients!

The good news is, the sandies are all around Miller Rd everywhere, busting the tops of the water chasing shad every minute! The bad news is, the 20 other people down there with me, couldn't get them to bite on ANYTHING! Saw 2 caught from 5:30 till now.

If they're busting the top all over the place, Freeline your minnows. The Gizzard shad were popping the surface all over the place yesterday. I didn't see any Sandy's though. We were seeing 12 to 14 inch Gizzards.

Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.
