Just wanted to ask a couple of questions to the experts that know: is it possible to have an old boat repaired... Sf-150 Skeeter...Hit a stump at Lake Ray Roberts and busted a piece off the gel coat on the back pad...I also have an issue of where the trailer boards have been rubbing a hole in the side of the fiberglass....both sides...is it possible to get issues like these fixed without basically purchasing a new boat per say...have insurance but I'm not really sure that's the direction I'd like to go...other than those issues the boat Is in great shape and its paid off...has anyone ever done anything like that...also has anyone ever used Tinys in Kilgore or recommend a place?! I'm open for suggestions. Thanks for reading.

North Texas. I've heard they were pretty good.

You should try the DIY route. Minor gel coat repair is not difficult and if you are not worried about getting the cosmetics just right, its even easier.

Your insurance may cover the hull puncture but it's unlikely an adjuster is going to add in gelcoat repairs from normal use. Unless you get a shade tree guy to do it, you are looking at around $100/hr for a shop rate anywhere you go.
