I am going to attempt to give my opinion based on the op's question. I came from a Skeeter ZX 200 and went into a Pheonix 619, both boats are 19' with 200 hp. The first thing I will say is the Skeeter is easier to drive, the Pheonix takes some seat time to max it out. In my opinion the Pheonix rides softer in rough water than the Skeeter. Fish ability is close, I personally like the layout of the Pheonix, but that is personal opinion. Top speed on the 19 foot boats I have had were nearly identical (68-70 depending on load). Fit and finish is comparable on both. If I were buying again today I would lean towards Pheonix due to the rough water ride, but that being said I would not turn away from Skeeter if the deal was right. The wider deck of the 900 series would make me choose the 921 over the 721, if cost did not factor in. All that being said it comes down to the features, look, and price that fits you. You can't go wrong with any of the brand out there, but if I were in the market today knowing what I know I would start with Pheonix.

so what's the difference between a 721 and a 921? From the consoles back nothing. The 721 is 20'11" long 96" beam. The front is a little wider then a 211 Legend. The 921 is 21'6" long with a 96" beam. The front end is about the same size has Z521 range as far as the width of the front deck, its big and wide the 721 is not.

For those of you guys that don't know how the Pro's get and or pay for their boats, here it is. Most, not all but most Pro's get their boats at a discounted rate like at hole sell price. They don't pay for them till they sell them at the end of the season. They sell them for more than what the manufacturer charged them for the boat. The Pro keeps the profit off the sale and the manufacturer gets the rest. This may vary somewhat at different manufacturers I'm sure.
What do you throw next 2015 Phoenix 919 PRO XP Upgraded to 2 Helix 10 Mega units Upgraded to an Ultrex

The 921 is the best riding boat and I like it better for the bigger deck.

I own a 2009 721. Purchased in 2011. I wore out the internet researching several brands and models. Rode in boats with buddies and guides. All were great boat boats! But what did it for me was creature comforts and storage organization. I drove from Abilene to Livingston to check it out. After a test drive on the water and crawling around in it, I knew this was the right one for ME. Since the purchase, I have only had one very minor issue. I called the factory and told them what I was experiencing. They had changed the vendor on that part and sent me a pair, at no charge and took care of the labor charge from the repair shop. I've upgraded a couple of things on it and the customer support from the factory has been great for me. Now, would I buy another Phoenix? You bet! Would I look at other brands? You bet! I want the best I can get for ME. I have not had any of the issues previously mentioned in this post, so I will not speak to those. I love my boat. It was the right purchase for ME. Great product and great company, IMO.
