Never been there, heard it is real nice though. Supposed to be a fairly clear lake I believe. Let me know how you do.

It was extremely windy and the lake was up. I didn't get to fish a ton. A lot of cat tails to flip. I plan on going back next month.
Conditions:
Clarity: Clear Water Temp: 62-65 deg
I saw some bass shallow, but they spooked very easily because of the clear water. I'm used to fishing dirty water, so I have a lot to learn. Anyone else that has any information on this lake, please post here.

Hi jerod 14,
Assuming you are bass person. I fish Cleburne SP quite a bit targeting crappie and sand bass. Saturday after cold front had come through fishing a bit tough. I did manage some fish for the table and a few catch and release small bass. I typically use light & ul gear and fish out of canoe or kayak. Besides crappie and sand bass, have also caught LM bass, catfish, and even a few google eyes (warmouth). Saturday water clarity 5', surface temp 61.5 deg. Caught all my fish on minnows. Crappie were all in 10-17' of water. Sand bass all caught in 17-21' of water. All fish were caught just off bottom. Usually sand bass cooperative, but couldn't zero in on them this time. When you do find them, you'll more than likely catch a few over the current lake record of 14.5 inches. I had 2 (out of 7) greater than 15" Saturday, and no fish < 10". Week before I had 3 (out of 20) 15" or greater, and only 1 under 10". Solid fish on light / ul gear!

...Oh! Forgot to mention that Easter weekend I had a tussle with a huge common carp, which I fought on light crappie rig for 15 minutes or better. Have caught many carp on dough baits, corn, and crawlers, but never had one take a live minnow before! Got her up next to the canoe and unhooked her to fight again. Some fun!

Thanks for the input. I may go back later and see if I can flip the reeds and hit the dam to see if there are any bass coming off their beds. Thanks again. Tight lines!
