Bend have something local we need to hit up for sure! Hiked up from hamms creek today after giving a smaller creek a shot. Small water was loaded with crappie only problem was 95% were about 5-6 inches. A few sandbass where there about the same size. After a long hike found a seam with an eddy and good sand and gravel even though it's still to muddy to see the fish. You can visually map out where they are sitting by looking at the water and the visable contours of the bank. I forgot my go Pro today so I did not get my phone out of the dry box very often for pictures. Always afraid if I am far out in the river I'm going to drop the dang thing in the water. There is so much water this year you really cannot stay in one spot like most years. You need to move up Read water fish catch them for a bit when they slow down move on again. Overall numbers are down just from the moving around but like my buddy said today you know I kind of like this sometimes when you're standing in the same spot catching a fish every cast it just kind of gets monotonous. we got to see some spectacular scenery we were the only people on the river and we caught a bunch of fish at the same time cant ask for a better day. With the dirtier water I have been throwing two Clousers the two biggest fish I caught today were on the same cast I had another on that I think was bigger than the two of them but it was on another double and broke off the bottom fly.

I hope there is more lol. There should be a wave just about every flood until the end of April. My best days there were at the end of April last year.

Yea but we didn't get any rain till then last year only problem. My buddy said they got a little last night so I'm sure it will bring a few in. There was no shortage of fish there they were just that though short. Main river was loaded though.

Really need a boat this year to find the better eddys and seams on the big river. Plenty of nice islands and sand bars to beach the boat and wade. Was a little chilly today when we stepped in a hole almost chest deep kind of hard to catch a breath(at least not like the gunny where you couldn't breath). 2flyfish4 can attest to that! Big girls are showing up in numbers and occasionally their big cousin showed up . Water started coming up quick as they must have opened the gates. And the bite slowed but the artificial rain should bring a new wave be very careful with the water level you don't want to have to swim for your boat! It's started rising slow but when it got going it came up fast. Lucky got back accross the riffle we were fishing to the boat. It was really last min trip as didn't get out till 4:15 today. Oh well beautiful day on the water.

Well we kept a few for a friend yesterday for a fish fry. The fish are spread out in the big water but the action stayed constant as long as you moved around. Just remember if you don't have a devider In your live well put your fish on separate stringers especially if you plan on keeping more than 25 between the two of you.

Well did a little scouting on some local water today. I got out of work a little early and was kind of tired from catching fish yesterday so I did not feel like driving. Only problem with the local water is the yellow bass sometimes you cannot sift through enough of them to get to the sandbass. Oh well I took the 3wt today so even though they are small they are feisty LOL.did manage a few Sandbass and a whole bunch of little yellow Piranas! Still managed to have a creek all to my self that is nice on its own.
