I had one of the best days on fork in my life on Wednesday before the Sunday tournament catching many over slot fish on secondary points but with the rough weather we had I was only able to catch three fish on the day of the tournament. One being a in slot 6 pounder and the other two too not worth the run to the weigh in. Just curious on how everybody else caught them and where(not looking to steal any spots just trying to figure out what we could've done differently) any info helps!

I'm interested as well. I did not have a chance to get out on the lake during the week prior to the tournament. I did get out on Saturday and could not get anything figured out. I caught a couple small fish in spawning areas but not even a slot fish. Tournament day I decided to fish in Rogers creek to stay out of the wind. We caught 7 fish all day with the biggest being 1.8# and of the other boats in and out of the cove all day we never seen a decent fish boated. The thing is with over 1900 people fishing someone is going to catch them even if they are not biting.

In like the first ten minutes I caught 2 one pounders. Kinda wish I would've gone to weigh in the first two hours because I would've gotten $150 for each fish, but I didn't think they would make it so I decided to keep fishing. Then caught a decent under at 2 pounds at like noon and made the rough rough run from dale to the weigh in and got $150 for it and then decided not to go back out because I was tired of the wind lol I caught them all on a zoom ultravibe speed craw and like most my bite wasn't nearly as good as it was earlier in the week

How were you measuring your fish?

Saw a guy at the dock one day pull out an old fabric tape measure like the one my momma used when she was sewing. He set his fish down and held the end of the tape at the fish's mouth and wnet up & over the fish to the end of its tail. Made his 22" fish over 24...

My partner and I thought we were gonna lay into them, our first cast was at around 6:35, we had 5 slots pushing over 20lbs by 7:45. Didn't catch [censored] after that. We were flipping soft plastics into flooded vegetation.

Is that the same guy that borrowed your scale to weigh his ten-poundah at Monticello?

He was asking a question we did not measure or weigh the fish. Clearly they are under. He is 19 years old and was excited to fish his 1st tournament. We fished hard in not the best conditions and wanted to know how some caught their fish . As he stated we caught ours on secondary points. We have just found this forum, maybe they should name it comedians who think they are pro fisherman. I am his dad and thought most would be helpful clearly you are not. Thank you for your time and wish all the best .

We caught seven small 13" - 14.75" all on square bill in about 8'fow or less near secondary points. and yes the verbiage was incorrect, he meant to say in the slot not over. but dang y'all pounce quickly
