Yes, the unit in which you save the waypoint will be blue, the shared unit will be green. That way you will know if the waypoint was saved from which unit. The Ethernet does everything the interlink did, so you can do away with it if you wish. You can share all technologies except for maps. Each unit will need a map card, unless you want to keep switching from unit to unit

If you add the 360 that would require a 5 port Ethernet switch to network all 3 together, and yes the cost can add up quick

Depends on your lake. I have both. Lakemaster has more features. For the lakes I fish Navionics seems to have better and more detail such as submerged trees, bridges, culvert, creek channels and submerged roads where Lakemaster doesn't have all that detail on the lakes I fish. Lakemaster has the lake level depth adjustment better color shading. Navionics does has have phone app that you load for about $10, then you can see the detail of the lakes. That way you don't spend full price of a map card without knowing what to expect

The Navionics maps (Nautical Charts) and user generated mapping (Sonar Charts) are on the Web App.

I have a question for you HB gurus (Wayne). I purchased a 999 Si Di right before they went extinct and every thing works right except it has 2 problems. First one is when I set up a navigation to a W.P. an go to S.I. the boat icon at the top of the screen will not point to the direction I need to go, and secondly when i'm in shallow water the depth readings go crazy, shows im in 1500' of water. any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated .

If you are asking about the boat icon on the si screen, it never changes always pointing forward. How shallow of water are talking about? If you get real shallow they will get some crazy depth readings.

When you have SI Navigation tuned on, the boat icon changes from Blue to Orange AFTER you select what waypoint to GO TO. It will then point to the direction to navigate to the waypoint. Use Switchfire Clear when in shallow water and reduce the Sensitivity setting if needed.

Just curious, is there anything special you have to do to an SD card to get it to record on a 1199? I have a 64 gig card that will not let me record, then my 32 gig, I recorded on it, loded it into Autocrats, then cleared my card, now my unit won't record on it. Seams like i remember doing that encrypt thing with one, one time, but couldn't figure out how to do it the other day on the water.

FORMAT your card before using it each time. Encrypt is only for purchasing a single location Lakemaster map.

Got a question for you gurus. Just bought a new boat and have a helix10si/gps in dash and a 7di/gps on bow. The 7 works great the 10 does not read the right depth, it seems to keep going back to 1.7ft It does have a y connector and a glued in puck for high speed readings and the HD trans mounted on transom. I have turned unit off then back on and it will read say 32.4' then switch view it will go back to 1.7 all this at say 2-3 mph. Is this a setting in missing? Thanks for the help David

First restore defaults nd see if that has any effect. Most likely gonna be transducer issue. It is either coming loose or going bad. Plug the transducer straight into the unit and then you can eliminate the splitter cable if it keeps giving you problems. Add some water in the bilge area to where the transducer is covered in water and test it that will let you know if the epoxy is coming undone if you start to get correct readings. Problem still exists could be the transducer is gone bad
