I don't have to time to do it so I've dropped the boat off at the local boat shop here in OKC.

Most shops rates are quite high these days so I want to brace myself for a bill.

I'm having them mount a Helix at the trolling motor and another HM locator at the console.

Surely this shouldn't take take a pro more than 3 hrs for both, right?

How many hrs should I expect to be billed?

I guess it depends on wether they do a sloppy job or a nice clean job. I'd guess 2 graphs with transducers would easily be 4 hours. It took me about a day and a half to install mine; but I did it right and ran a whole new electrical circuit to my graphs.

I also have Lowrance so they have a few more accessories, might be 3 hours for the birds.

I wouldn't think it'd take more than 3. I installed both of mine in less than that and I had a Terrova to deal with. The boat layout will have some to do with that. They should have given you an estimate before starting.

If they do it right I would give them a day to do it. I could throw a couple in in a few hours but I would think 5 or 6 for a good install

I could do it right in 3 hours. I would think a professional shop could too.

Retirement best job ever.

I have installed hundreds, its my job. To do what your asking not knowing the boat, Id say 4 hrs. 4 hrs seems to be pretty spot on for most boats.

I would say all day because they usually are working on 2or3 things at a time. Start to finish shouldn't take more than 4 hours if they know what they are doing!
