I'm not a hard core crappie guy but I do have a boat slip at Mill Creek and like to crappie fish from time to time. I'd appreciate any help you could give on your favorite color jigs to use on Texoma. I've been using a pearl jig that has a hint of light purple in it with success, but wondering if there's a better color?

When I had a boat on Texoma, I learned form an old lady how to jig fish. She was the best jig fisher I have met. She used, tube jigs and these three colors. Green and white, purple and white and red and white. Nothing more... nothing less. I ventured off to use a tri colored tube that I ended up using as m go too. It was red/chart/orange. It was an arkie bait. Haven't seen it in a while, but I caught thousands on that color.

Orange in the fall, Chartreuse the rest of the time. Location more important.

I have fished Texoma most all my life although I do use other colors if I had to choose only one color it would be the strike king white and chartreuse. Brown and orange is also a big hit with me.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Going to pick up a few tomorrow and give them a try on Saturday. Weather won't be all that great so it may be a complete waste of time.
