Well my eyes tell me that both pictures have:
1. Fin Gap
2. Deformity
3. Dot on gill plate

I'm not trying to cause a stir, this is just what I see, that and a man holding a couple great fish!

No they are not using waterdogs, if you saw someone using water dogs it wasn't them. I have fished with Boudreaux for five years and never seen him buy nor fish with a waterdog. I guess to be honest I have heard of a waterdog but never actually seen one. I also know he has a set of boga grips that he weights ever fish over his guess of 8# pounds so all of theses fish would have been put on the Boga's to check weight. I am not sure why you would try and tear down Mr.Bucky he is just a class act.

I'm GENUINELY not trying to stir the pot, honestly. But do you know for a fact that they weren't using waterdogs or are you assuming that because you've never seen the guide use them, because that sounds like what you're saying, and that's not very good reasoning.

Well I guess I wasn't in the boat with them. I have been in the boat with Boudreaux for about three hundred days in the pass few years and never seen him fish with one. I have talked to him on close to 600 days in the pass five years and he has never talked about it. We were in my boat most of those days fishing and I never seen any water dogs in my boat either. I texted him this morning and told him they were saying this and he let me know he hasn't fished with them and didn't think they even sale them around the lake any more. I am just not sure how to say it in a way to say that he wasn't using them. I guess the very suggestion that Boudreaux would have been using water dogs or Bucky is just a little disappointing for they put a lot of work in the last couple of years to be able to catch theses fish. They are just two great guys. the haters are going to hate and their is just nothing you can do.

Personally I don't care what the guy caught them on, I just like seeing the old guys catch big fish.

I can also point out the lateral line is a lot darker on one then the other. I guess they took a black maker to it to confuse people. I don't think you would have posted this if you weren't trying to stir the pot. I know from watching this forum pictures can be deceiving, so I just don't take much stock in your post to insult a couple old men. I was not in the boat with them and they were texting me pictures as they were catching them and they caught then at different times.

I guess at the end of the day if they weren't exactly right on weight or length or anything else, I am just going to congratulate to good men and leave it at that. I guess you can do what ever you feel then need to do.

Phoenix, I'm not insulting anyone, just making an observation and backing it up. I apologize if your feeling are hurt. But you are wrong, and here are 3 more points that prove it.
4. Split at the beginning of the anal fin
5. Brown mark
6. 3rd spot on the lateral line looks like a 4

Again, these are some great fish, and a great accomplishment, those are the kind of days we all dream about, not to mention in the same week. Congrats the the Gentleman who caught them, and much props to the guide that put him on them!

If you talked to him that's good enough for me. I don't know either of you guys and I don't have any reason to doubt what you say is true. I was just curious, that's all. Thx for posting the pics btw. Great fish.

You cannot even see the lateral line on the other fish so to say the spot on the 3, 4,or 10 are the same is just BS. I guess if Either Bucky or Boudreaux want to get on here and address your insults when you cannot pull up other picture and show lateral line then they can. I could care less about your insults of a couple old men. I am not going to address your BS any more good luck on your stuff. I hope you take care of your business as much as everyone else's, especially a couple of older GENTLEMEN.

Y'ALL MANY THANKS FOR ALL THE KIND COMMENTS. MANY HAVE ASKED IF I WOULD SHARE A LITTLE INFO. HERE ARE A FEW THOUGHTS. WHAT A WEEK I HAD FISHING OUT OF LAKE FORK'S OAK RIDGE MARINA WITH MY GUIDE GERALD BOUDREAUX. THIS WEEK ON THE FIRST DAY I HAD THREE BITES ALL DAY BUT YIELDING AN 11 POUND GIANT AND THE SECOND FISH WAS A 10.8 LB. BASS HAWG ALL WITHIN 15 MINUTES. THEN THE NEXT DAY I CAUGHT 2 FISH AVERAGE SIZE BUT TODAY BEFORE THE BIG STORM I HAD AN EARLY BITE AND LO AND BEHOLD I LANDED A 10 LB. BEAUTY. THAT WAS THREE FISH IN 3 DAYS THAT WERE ALL 10-11 POUNDS. THANK THE LORD !! INCIDENTALLY I HAVE BEEN SO FORTUNATE IN HAVING FOR MANY YEARS GERALD BOUDREAUX ~ " CUZ " ~ WHO IS A TERRIFIC GUIDE, PAL AND A DECENT GOOD PERSON. THERE ARE MANY A GREAT GUIDE ON FORK AND BOUDREAUX IS ONE OF THE TOPS. I CAN SAY THAT CUZ ALLOWS ME TO HAVE FIRST CAST MANY TIMES WHEN HE PULLS INTO AN AREA WHERE HE KNOWS THE LUNKER'S FREQUENT. OVER THE YEARS I HAVE CAUGHT MANY OF BIG FISH WITH CUZ B/C THAT IS WHAT WE EXCLUSIVELY FISH FOR. THAT METHOD TAKES A LOT OF PATIENCE AND PAYING YOUR DUES. I HAVE BEEN SKUNKED TOO MANY TIMES TO SHARE WITH OUT REMEMBERING THE EXTREME DISGUST I HAVE ENDURED AFTER A LONG DAY WITH ZERO ~ TO LITTLE RESULTS. BUT THAT IS THE PRICE YOU HAVE TO PAY IF YOU EXPECT TO CATCH A DOUBLE DIGIT FISH OF A LIFETIME. THE BASIC TECHNIQUES BOUDREAUX RECOMMENDS ARE JIG ~ SHAKY HEAD ~ SPLIT SHOT ~ CAROLINA ALL WITH PLASTIC TRAILERS. DEPENDING ON TIME OF YEAR WE FISH SHALLOW ( SPAWN ) OR DEEP ( MOST ALWAYS ) AND CUZ WILL SAY YOU " YOU CAN'T FISH TOO SLOW " THE SAVING GRACE IS HE HAS MANY A GREAT STORY TO SHARE AND OH YEA EVERY SO OFTEN YOU GET " LUCKY " AND CATCH A BEAUTY. FOR A GREAT TRIP GIVE BOUDREAUX A HOLLER 225 573 0513 ~~

Henry David Thoreau said that "Some men fish all their lives without knowing it is really not the fish they are after."
I think that I am approaching this stage, that is to have
the opportunity and joy to go fishing and enjoy God's magnificent creation.

Congratulations!!! Dedication and perseverance paid off for you. I can tell you that I'm positive I would never be able to fish all day for one or two bites. I just don't have the confidence to believe that those one or two bites could be that double digit. Maybe one day, when I have more time to fish, I will change my mind. smile
