Has anyone seen any carp spawning in the shallows yet?

Any tips from Carp Anglers in the Spring, TX area, are greatly appreciated. I am getting back into Carp fishing as paylaking back East. Caught two wild water Commons thus. Bite has been really slow, because I don't go out on the great baiting campaigns, as of yet. I am trying out the European style of fishing, boiles, pop ups, etc., Any suggestions on bait, locations (bodies of water, not personal fishing holes), other tactics... Thanks in advance.
