Anyone been to Denton Creek at 377? The conditions look perfect with Grapevine Lake at full capacity and a recent deluge followed by good water levels for days in the creek. If I get down there tomorrow as I'm hoping too, I'll let you know.

Was at 35 this morning, still fast and too muddy. The gar are in there pretty heavy, watched a couple guys get some with the bow - biggest was 15-20 lbs.

Didn't get to Denton Creek but did hit a spot between Lake Worth and Eagle Mountain. I've never seen the water that high there but we managed to get a little stank on us, one a piece lol. A young kayaker came in from fishing up by the Eagle Mountain spillway, he said the sandies are stacking up there but he hadn't kept any so I'll reserve judgement until I see some fish coming out.

This rain should help bring more up but it's not good for the Grapevine water level.

We put in with kayaks by the "S" turn at Hickory Creek Rd just East of Country Club Dr. last week. We caught a variety of fish, mainly sand bass and crappie on small jigs. We went North of there and found multiple pockets of sand bass. We caught all males, so I'm hoping the females have yet to come up. It was a great paddle and weather was perfect.

I was there Tuesday from 5 till 8pm. The water was running good. Still too muddy to do any good. Caught two keeper sandies. Although, I noticed a bunch of fish swimming up the creek through the Rapids. Hopefully there will be some big ole females joining in the fun this go around. I'm talking about hickory creek north of OAB. I was there Sunday as well. Only a couple of keeper fish then, too. I did see a pile of fish actively spawning. So far this spring I haven't caught a female keeper.

Went to hc today after work, same story, 2 keeper sandies and a bunch of undersized crappie. Heard creek x is turning on. I'm going to check it out tomorrow.

I was on hickory all day.
started at hickory creek road and golfcourse (whatever) bridge. Cut a whole mess of foot holes because it was horrible bank conditions.. ended at OAB catching sandies and a small striper

Right on @k@, Is the water up pretty high under 377?

A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work.
