Appreciate all the guys who were willing to help thanks I understand you're a kid... I'm 20 myself I was once in your position, just get out and scout like the rest of us. There is nothing like finding your own spot and catching fish out of it. Read previous threads about Rowlett creek and just take notes. There aren't any handouts in this would buddy. Time on the water makes you a better fisherman.

I caught fish at every pocket that I stopped at and it looked like it would hold fish. If youre not getting bit after 7 or 8 casts, move on to the next hole. Theres too many spots on the entire creek for you to waste time not catching fish as well as over crowding a spot. Nothing shuts the bite down faster than too many people bunched up and scaring the fish. If you dont believe me, just wait will some jackwagon walks to where youre casting to cause he sees you catching fish after fish.
If you see fish splashing the surface, thats the sandies doing their thing and spawning. More than likely, these areas will have a couple hundred fish in it. I pulled about 40 fish out of a deep hole that was only about 4ft by 4ft.
No place on this creek is ever "private" so im gonna keep it a secret till I start seeing more foot traffic here. When I do, ill be more than happy to share the location on here.
Just remember guys, theres too many miles of this creek to be combat fishing shoulder to shoulder. This includes when the hybrids start running.

See Catfish, now you get to say something like this... Stolen, but still funny as hell.

Went out to the creek today and got ten sandies, two crappie and one mini-bass. Not bad for a few hours and my first shot of the year. Out of the ten four were females.

Anyone catching any crappie? I figure the sandbass will be there, wondering about the crappie. If you found some, what color combo did you use? Thanks Hey Kyle. I did really well with these both for sand bass and crappie 2 weeks ago. I got them at Bass Pro. Thanks Steve! Nice to see you on here. I appreciate the help. I went out today and tried to target the crappie more specifically. I caught one small crappie on a fluke like that, and 5 other crappie on a pumpkinseed/chartreuse jig. Only two keepers. Did manage about 20 sandbass on flukes.
