I haven't hit East Fork, but I've hit Sister Grove and Pilot/Indian hard. I think they're there, just with lockjaw due to the gates at Lavon being open.

I was fishing below the dam down the creek a ways on Sunday. A few guys were hammering crappie, sandies, and the occasional hybrid inbetween the 78 bridge and the old railroad tracks. They would stand inbetween the two bridges and wade out to chest deep water. Then they would cast into the current with pink jig heads and black and chartreuse bodies and catch fish every other cast almost. They seemed to be letting the jig sink and reel in real slow with an occasional twitch.

Early morning on some south facing banks like Ticky creek park. Fish with shad or minnows. Fish with catfish setup right on bottom. Bite is usually quick light strikes. There are some crowding but not to bad.

Tickey creek area is usually good this time of year. I haven't had that hit that in 2 yrs before all the flooding. I would go straight instead of taking right to tickey. (Early.. Before daylight and castnet bait along shore) cut bait worked best. I would put 2 swivels w/ #2 hook &1oz weight. Wade out about hip to chest high, cast out bounce back to me or reel about a foot..then stop. They would usually hit when moving the bait. The lake is high now so wading is probably out. Fresh cut shad is king tho! If you have kiddos=good times.
