Wow , 81 feetsie. had a friend told to drop one several years ago halfway to Amistad Lake down south . Called me out of Odessa to come down and pick up his Ranger that was gonna be parked on side of the road out of Comstock Tx. Middle of no where. He was 70 feet and a few inches. Afraid to leave that high dollar boat or camper there. It's who you get on the end of that ticket book.
This is what I'm afraid of. ^ It's not worth leaving my boat or my camper on the side of the road. I'm sure dasman7580 has no issues , but I don't have good enough luck. I get pulled over for something as simple as a Co Sheriff telling me that me LED light bar is illegal. Not illegal to have on while driving , but illegal to have on my truck period.
So I can only imagine what would happen with that giant target running down the road. LOL

You may get by for years with a total length over 65' or you may get stopped tomorrow. I can verify that if you get stopped they can and will make you drop the trailer right there and give you a ticket. It happened to me and we had to drive back home in the motor home, get a pickup, and go retrieve the trailer on the side of the road. Really puts a kink in your plans.

Cool, I am not the only crazy! You have to be sure you don't lighten the tongue up too much or your rig will be unstable. Although with a 5th wheel, it isnt likely you will unless your boat is really heavy. Also, consider putting an anti sway bar on at least one of the trailers for freeway driving. It makes a big difference on my rig. Also, DO NOT look in the rear view mirror and attempt to dampen out any oscillation... you will make it worse... look strait ahead and drive strait! as far as the length. I have seen some other triple tows WAY over the limit... but you are running the risk.

Isn't this really DOUBLE towing? We don't call it "double towing" when towing one thing, so how would towing two be "triple"?

A bit confusing, in the trucking world a semi pulling 2 trailers is doubles, three is triples; not legal to pull 3 trailers in Texas.
