Nice bullfrog chatterbait! I had one in an aquarium that did not get warm enough for it to transform and it would come up to the surface and eat with the other fish. Well I went and checked out my little hidden gym today water was not terribly muddy but it was full of carp Mateo and I went and checked out my little hidden gym today water was not terribly muddy but it was full of Carp no sandbass. OK we've had enough rain to get the run going let's let it all cleared up now LOL.

Well well well i have to say the doors are blown wide open now. It was just plain silly today! What do you do when the bait chunckers 20 yards from you looking like they want to come break your rod because they can't get bit. Tie on a second clouser and pull them out two at a time lol. Also landed the biggest buff I've ever caught on the four wt. when you can't close your rod hand or lift your arm you know it was good. I'm getting Intel it's like that in other areas of north Texas as well today

Thanks Zulo caught a 5-6 lb carp as well. I still have no idea how I was able to turn that buff out of heavy current back into the eddy the sandbass where in. To any in search of sandbass while our rivers are swollen often times it's better than when they are low. If you really study the water you can almost see the fish even though the water is muddy. Current breaks and eddys will concentrate the fish on their journey upstream. Lines of fast moving water adjacent to slack water is like a buffet allowing them to feed while exerting little effort. It is exactly like reading trout water really when they come into the creeks. You don't have to see them to know they are there.

Lol thanks heylet me tell you notice the 3 inch deep footprints in the background we had a very narrow shelf of basically quicksand to stand on ha ha. I had to break down and clean my reel and had sand everywhere. If you stood in one place to long you almost needed help getting out.

Yea my four and three have been put to the test but no doubt in my mind it handles the most pressure I've ever put on it yesterday. Went out again today I finally have feeling in my arm it got that first real baiting of the season it was ready to go again today I know I will probably be sunup to sundown Wednesday somewhere and maybe tomorrow afternoon. Now if my fingers would just catch up on the Calais I had line burns on my stripping hand and about five fingers that look like a rough them up with 300 grit sandpaper her LOL. Lol I'd just go buy some more right now if I were you. A New leader split shot couple clousers and seagar invisx 8 lb and you are in business for less than 30 bucks. Invisx is 18 of that but worth every penny. I have feelers all over north and central Texas a almost every feeder creek that feeds a lake with them in it is packed like sardines right now!!!! Starting out to be the best run in a long long time.
