 Ranger gas tank?

I have a 2010 z521 with duel tanks. Both tanks have gas in them, but when I switch one acts like it is out of gas. Acts like something is stopped up. Any suggestions on where to look or what it could be?

Ranger tank selector valves has some history of the handle/indicator slipping on the valve control making it appear to be pointed to a selected tank, but actually is between setting and OFF.
