Fayette County Power Plant Lake is on TX 159 East about 8 miles east of LaGrange off of TX 71. Approximately 75 miles east of Austin, about 90 miles northwest of Houston. From DFW go south on 1-35 to Hwy 6 south. Then immediately pick up US 77 South through Elgin to TX 71 at LaGrange. Head east on 71, take the frontage road to Highway 159 and take a left. After 5 miles, Hwy 159 will turn right. Then follow the signs to Park Prairie ramp or a little further on the right will be Oak Thicket ramp. Good luck, they are ON!

ok that lake you say is fayette, on the map it shows "Cedar Creek Reservoir" WHY ?
