Looking for advice. Going to Ray Roberts Sunday and wondering if the crappie will bite after all this rain. Supposed to be nice weather. Thinking about tying up under the bridge or maybe hitting the creeks. Any advice would be appreciated. Just bought a new boat and I don't know the lake very well. Also bought fishing hotspots for my hook 5.

I wouldn't mess with the creeks as they will still be muddy. I would personally hit the main lake brush and coves because those will be the clearest areas of the lake. I would definitely not expect to tear them up by any means.

Thanks for the advice. With the fishing hotspots SD card. I think there may be some locations of brush piles pre loaded. Maybe I can find them.

Should I anchor up when I find a brush pile or just try to stay on it with my trolling motor. This old bank fisherman finally got a boat and any more advice would be appreciated.

They should have the brushpiles marked on there I am thinking (not 100% sure though). I forgot to mention that the bridges might be worth a shot depending on how muddy the water is that far up the lake. I would use the trolling motor to stay on the bridge and brushpiles because it easier to move around and find active fish. Hope this helps.

Don't anchor on the corp piles unless you are fishing the edge of the pile, a friend lost a few anchors on them... Staying on the pile is not hard with a trolling motor because the piles are massive...

My plans actually just changed today. Headed to Fork Saturday and Sunday. Nevery been there and I want to catch my limit on crappie.
