TXKAA / APT Shoot Out Series 2016 Tournament Rules


Registration:

�Registration and captain�s meeting will be held the Friday evening before each tournament at Angler�s Pro Tackle


�Captain�s meeting is mandatory and will be held at 6:30 pm Friday evening


�Arrangements can be made for registration and an explanation of the captain�s meeting later in the evening at the store but not before 6:30


�$30.00 entry fee for the tournament


�$10.00 fee for the big bass pot (optional)


�$40.00 fee for the side pot (optional)



Side Pot:

�The side pot is an option for anglers who want to risk a little more! The angler who finished highest in ranking and also paid the side pot fee, will take home 100% of the side pot fees.



Shoot Out Format:

�At the conclusion of the captains meeting, anglers will be allowed to fish any PUBLIC body of water they wish. The angler will CPR (catch,photo and release) his or her catch and submit photos of their best 5 fish to the tournament director at weigh in. All state and federal regulations will be followed at all times.



Scoring Your Catch:

�Black bass species only will be scored


�Fish must be a minimum of 12� to score


�Fish will be scored by length to the nearest ��


�Fish must be facing left with their backs to the top of the photo


�Fish must lay in a natural position with the bottom jaw touching the end of the measuring device


�Hawg Trough will be the only accepted measuring device


�All photos must be in digital format and submitted on an SD or Micro SD card


�In the event of a tie, the angler with the largest single fish wins the tie



Weigh In:

�To be held at Angler�s Pro Tackle on the Sunday of tournament weekend


�Weigh in will be at 3:00 PM


�There will be a 1� deduction in 15 min intervals until 3:45 PM for late arrival


�After the 3:45 shut off, anglers arriving late will be disqualified



Pay Out:

�This is a 100% payback tournament


�1st place will take 60%


�2nd place will take 30%


�3rd place will take 10%



Angler of the Year:

�Anglers will earn points towards the AOY


�The winner of each tournament will receive 100 pts


�2nd place 99 pts and so on until all anglers who have caught fish are awarded points


�All anglers who did not submit a fish for scoring will receive an equal number of points for fishing the tournament.


�Points will also be awarded for the number of inches an angler�s catch totals


�(Example: The 1st place angler wins with 96�. The angler will be awarded 196 pts towards the AOY)


�The Angler of the Year will be awarded a prize from Angler�s Pro Tackle



Championship Tournament:

�The top 10 anglers of the season will be invited to fish the championship tournament


�This will be held at a location to be announced at a later date


�The championship tournament will be at a single location decided by the tournament director and staff at APT



These rules are to be followed at all times while fishing the 2016 TXKAA/APT Shoot Out Tournament Series. It is up to you, the angler, to keep this tournament series fare to all of its competitors. Cheating and any unsportsman like conduct will be dealt with harshly.

Ill be deep sea fishing that weekend. Should take a 95+" limit to win this one I would think! Good luck guys

So we have all day Saturday and half of Sunday to fish right?

With fishing from Friday night till Sunday afternoon it's gonna take at least 100+ to win.

Its an awesome format, I'm looking forward to this trial!

They said it would take a 100+ to win last year too and it didnt happen. I was just being more conservative lol

I can't remember if it was in the spring or fall but we did have an angler break the 100" mark at one of our shoot outs last year.

Wasn't that from private waters? I think you've had several really close to 100"

Not sure which one you're talking about...It was Matt Mooney with 113.25'' at the spring shoot out that won.
