Does anybody know where I can find a .kmz file for the Toledo boat lanes? I'm trying to import into Google Earth. Thought I would see if one was available before I created my own off of a paper map.

http://www.toledo-bend.com/toledo_bend/index.asp?request=lakemapIf no one chimes in you could take this and overlay it on google maps and create it yourself. It's a bit of work but not terrible. I've traced creeks from topo maps. They may not line up perfectly so don't run blindly off it. Just use it as a guide to watch for buoys.

I've got a paper map and navionics app. I'm just going to go ahead and create the layers. It will be handy to have them in Google Earth.

You can use GPSBabel to convert any type of file to kmz.

Download "Ride Leader" by Trail Tech. It is free. It will open gpx and kml files. Kmz(Google Earth) files are just zipped versions of Google Earth (kml) files. Google Earth will open both formats. Open the gpx file with Ride Leader then save it as a kml (Google Earth) file. You can then open that file with Google Earth. It is very easy. Let me know if you have any questions.
Have a Blessed Day, Mike

Treyzx, not sure if it is what you are looking for but almost all of the marked Toledo Bend boat lane buoys show up on the Navionics map card for your chartplotter.

Thanks for all the replies. I created a .kmz file, that opens up when I open Google Earth, using the Navionics app. along with a paper map. It's just handy to have the boat lanes appear in GE when planning a trip.
