It has been tough to beat a 1/4 oz white rooster tail... White road runner with white grub has also been good. Very clear where I have been fishing.

Flyrod and a clouser in chartreuse and white. All you need killed them Sunday and with this rain should be on everywhere!

I caught a bunch of them Friday (03/04) on white skirted spinner baits, curly tail grubs (white and chartreuse), and beetle spins (white and chartreuse). They love in-line spinner baits like Rooster Tails too, but be prepared to lose a few. Their treble hooks snag everything in the creek.

jdmoontx, that is why you use a 1/6th oz. rooster tail or blue fox. Lighter, with ul gear can cast it a mile, and start the retreive within a nanosecond of when it hits the water! Absolute murder on creek or river running whites! Been using them for years, all kinds of success with them.

Cheap bass pro knock off rooster tails in 1/8 oz are a cheap and very good universal bait for the creeks in Dfw.

My favorite is a tiny fluke. Either the fin-s fish or Berkly power bait in the 2 1/2 inch size. A weightless Zoom tiny fluke is also deadly when the creek level is a bit lower.
