I think that I am interested in a center console but have only been on two different ones over the last 10 years. If anyone has one that they really like please let me know what I should be looking for. I will most likely buy a used one but don't mind spending the money on something that is very nice that will last me a long time.

Thanks for the help in advance,

Chad

Chad i bought a Fish master from travis Boat, Its a center console, I fish Texoma most of the time I am very happy with it. I look around at boats almost a year and found this one at the Dallas boat show thay made me a good deal. you can find a good used rig if you look around. I wish I had gone ahead and bought the 22' i got the 19'.

Get the boat trader magazine and look in it.

Thanks Tim,

I saw a few fish masters and they looked very nice. I think I am going to go to the boat show this weekend and see if I can get a deal as well. Is the only reason you would get the 22 is for the extra room?

Thanks,

I have a Kenner 17' and love it! I fish by myself or with one other person in the boat. That is plenty of room for me. I don't have a live well. That is the only thing I wish I had.

I am shopping for a CC also in the 20-22 ft range. Attended the boat show last Sunday and they only have polar, mako, champion, skeeter and nautic star. No kenner, bluewave, blazer and the rest. The champion looks the roomiest. The prices are pretty competitive. There are so many good brands. Pat Goff said it best in this post.

Good luck!

I went to the boat show in austin not to long ago and found some top of the line center consoled boats that are top of the line all the way around if you are looking to spend a little more they are top of the line.

I have an 06 21ft Champion, and love it. Has all the room I need, and handles great!

I have a Nitro Bay 2200 and I love it. Everyone likes different things. I would just tell you to find something that you like and go with it. Make a list of the kinds of things you want (storage, room for a bait tank, etc.) and make sure what you pick fits that. For me I was looking for room, 2 big livewells, and plenty of storage. The Nitro for me fit that bill.

OK my turn - I have a Mitch Craft 22' Jet Bay Flyer - 8' beam, similar to a Blue Wave hull. Wide open center console fisherman. powered by an Optimax 200HP Mercury Sport Jet. This is FINALLY a do it all boat - fish rough lakes, fish log infested rivers , run in 3" of water (really fully loaded with six people)4.2 MPG at 4300RPM and 34MPH/ 48MPH WOT. Likes Saltwater Flats, Washita above Texoma, Red above Texoma, Texoma Proper, any lake or river you care to fish in - no worries about expensive lower units - if you can't see it below water you ain't gonna hit it on plane. Drives like a Ferrari, no seals or lower unit maintenance - MFG. in Goldsboro North Carolina for use in Neuse River area, I've had em all but this fits all my criteria - the guy builds them to order - its not a cookie cutter boat - very well built -no wood in construction - They don't have a website so you would have to call them to get a video 919-734-4872 ask for Leon - this is a family business and they do it RIGHT.

I would only add , buy the bigger boat. If you think a 17 will
do , buy a 19. If you are thinking 19 , get the 22.
