Do they prefer the TX or c-rig better on fork? I've heard the jig is very well liked by the bass there too!? All three are effective. Start with a T-rig and have your partner throw a C-rig. See which one produces. Pitch the jig at the bigger stumps. Everyday is a new day. Try not to have any preconceived notions about what they will want just go fishing and have fun.

No, Nuts! I was planning on coming down and following you around this weekend. It's probably too early to prep for my tournament at the end of the month, but I can start to get the seasonal "feel" for the lake!

Looks like the lake is going to get some more rain and catch some water. Is it going to affect the bite greatly? Or will they still bite decent? Let me no what yall think the upcoming forecast will do to the fork? It's showing rain every day between Sunday and next weekend. All input is gladly appreciated. Thanks

It will muddy it up and probably cool if off some. The bite hasn't been all that, for me anyway so it shouldn't change much. The thing about it is to not get all caught up in speculation of what may happen, just go fishing and see for yourself. I've been to Fork plenty and got skunked but I keep going back cause it's called fishing not catching.

I got out Friday with a good friend and we did good at first, then the bite died around 10:30 am. Tuff after that with just a couple swimmers... However I went crappie fishing in my home cove Fri,Sat, and Sun morning, caught about everything that swims... Used a cork and a minner set at 20" inches throwing to the shallows from the two man boat...What a blast, caught a lot of bass and got OWNED a couple times by really big fish. One I estimate at over 8lbs.. The fish are/were there, you just have to work for them and be persistent. This oncoming week of rain will have some effect but, I don't think for long they're ready to do their thang...

Went out Saturday. Definite change in water color north of 155. The south end of the lake isn't too bad even though it is still stained. Caught fish in 2 ft or less, mostly buck's. But the bite was fairly consistent flipping creature baits. The bite was exceptionally light, had to pay very close attention to the line.

Yea I think ill just take Mr. Weems' advice and yours redskeeter. Just get out there and do it. I've been waiting to go to fork for years and now I'm getting to go. Fish my strengths and adapt through out the two days im there. I will b hitting glade like everyone has said. And concentrate on those subtle irregularities within the creek. Baby fork creatures is where its at . Probably Texas rigged. Or them old lizards. I'm counting the days! Thanks gentleman. Let me know throughout the week how your outings are going.
