Somebody posted that they did well at night in another thread with sandbass and hybrids. Don't know if anyone has tried it at RC yet. I'd be up for it if I had the next day off work, but after the stories from the guys I was fishing with the other morning at hellhole...I don't think it would be good to go alone. Something about group of kids beating the stuffing out of someone with a hammer to the head and tossing bodies in the creek? Don't know how true it is, but this guy was big enough to hold his own and he said not to.

Nice little orange sign that I could not read fine print but quick glanced looked like a no parking beyond orange barricade. Guess all the kayakers need to build up the upper body strength to haul those tubes to the water from the concrete.

picture would of helped lol

I have a cart for my kayak and have hauled it off road for about 300 yards before to fish a good pond. Carting from the parking lot to the creek would be a breeze. Even if I had to carry the kayak mine is a 10fter and not too heavy. I could easliy carry it too the creek. I don't think I'd drive my little car off the concrete anyways. Be stuck big time in that piece of [censored] lol.

How bad is the log jam at the 66 bridge anyone have pics?

Fish are almost up to the shooting range, can't remember the last time that happened. It's slow but they're there.

Looks like they are fishing a deep channel running in one side.

Mine is a very very heavy kayak but I do have my cart and I think I could get just about anywhere with it , would also like more info on this log jam if anyone could get a picture .

That's a old pic. I don't believe you wade in the hell hole now. They water is much to high. Someone feel free to correct me.

I wish I would have known this. I was gonna buy some minnows and hit the creek early in the morning. Thought I had better wait until I found out about the parking situation. I thought they closed of the parking lot but instead they just will not let you park under the bridge. Guess I will have to wait until Wed morning.

i wouldn't try it, water is 3-4 ft deeper than it was in that picture, the "rapid" at firewheel is about 3' deep right now, it's amazing how much water is in that creek right now.

Went out there today and fished at that sport for about an hr., no bite. Yeap, that is the old picture. That place is not wadable right now until the water drops about 2 feet then we might think about wading. It looks very deep right now.

Water's not going anywhere. This is the normal height of the creek when the lake is at full pool. The lake will stay at full pool all season.

I fished at Miller for about an hr too with no luck. I spoke to the construction guy on the way out about the orange barricade, he said that the city does not want any vehicle nor fishing at Miller road until the construction is completed. He stated that it does not border him but the city wants him to do so and any vehicle in that parking will be ticketed. There is a signed that posted right at the entrance that most people missed it so he will move it close to the orange barricade.

Is the construction dam still in place?
