Be careful, I've fished Sheldon a few times in a bass boat and there are some fairly large gators in there that are very curious. Just food for thought lol

Trust me, I know them well. Lol there is a 14 footer on what I call alligator island. This fishing trip we saw 8 or 9. They usually just swirl and splash if you get too close. Only been bumped once and that's because the wind drifted me over one I didn't see while fishing.

Congrats, looks like you had a heck of day. I haven't fished there in about 25 years. I used to catch a lot of nice fish there. I have been wanting to go back but I keep hearing horror stories about vandals at the boat ramp. Have you had any problems with people messing with your vehicle?

I Haven't any issues there. The worst thing that happens is a north wind blowing vegetation to the boat launch

Went last Saturday, caught 6, expected to do better but the cold front had them tight lipped. I brought my old beater truck just in case, heard the same stories of vandals. Didn't have any issues other that the ramp was crowded. Water looked good, i'll be going back again soon.

Yeah I've heard the same stories and I drive a pretty nice truck and park it there all day and haven't had any issues.
