My son and I were fishing squaw and I got a bite. I set the hook and the fish took 3/4 on my worm. My son throws in to the same place and catches a 2 pound bass. He said " hey dad look" and inside the basses belly is my worm. Guess the Bass was hungry. Good story that my son and now have to share as I get older.

That's cool. I've caught bass with lures still their mouths but not right after my partner lost it!

That kinda happend to me at squaw, Lost a big fish on sat that I couldnt get out of a tree, and went back on sunday and caught him out of the same tree with my bait broke off in his mouth. 6.76lbs

Buddy and I fishing a tourney at rayburn one day. Both flip into a bush, both get bit and set the hook at same time. Fighting this fish and it takes us a minute to realize we are fighting each other also. I gave slack he got fish in and both our plastics were in the dang things mouth. 4 half pound greedy bassturd

One time I set the hook and loaded the rod real good and the line snapped.Set down to retie my texas rig,repositioned the boat,cast in the same spot and got hung up. Wasn't gonna break off again so I trolled up to the line and was just kinda shaking and popping it to get it loose when the line just started slowly moving off. Set the hook, put a nice 6lber in the boat noticed about 18" of line hanging out of its mouth looked and there was my hook, worm, and tungsten weight...strange!

I have heard of that happening but have not had that happen to me.

Last year I caught a bass on a green pumpkin/charchruese tip senko and there was the exact same bait, color and all in his throat.

I hooked a good fish while strolling at Fork one day. She wrapped me around a stump and broke me off. Two days later, a buddy and I were fishing with guide Lance Vick in the same area. My buddy says "fish on" and looks to be fighting a good fish when his bait comes out of the water with a bunch of line wrapped around the trebles. On the other end was my Lucky Craft CB D20, about 30 feet of 12lb fluoro and an 8+ pound bass.

Apparently, this was the fish that broke me off two days earlier. The line had been hung on the stump and she just was just hanging out there, about 14 feet down, for two days until my buddy's crankbait wrapped up in my line and freed her.

Last year a buddy took a fly fishing trip in Montana. First day he broke off his best fly on a fish. Next day he's fishing the same area and reels in the same fish with the fly still stuck in it!! Unbelievable.

I caught a tree limb once with fishing line attached to it. On the end of the line was a 2lb bass with a brush hog in his mouth

In the day of electronic communication . A few yrs ago my son got bit on a spinner bait . A big fish and it broke off . A friend that we share info with texted just caught a good one with a black spinner bait in its mouth . We asked where it was and it was the same fish . Lol

Happened to me and a partner on Amistad. I lost a fish on a C Rig. While I'm re-rigging, partner catches a fish and says to me... "Want your worm back"?

Me and Monte Coon were fishing a tournament at Squaw ,I set the hook on a nice fish and Monte set the hook about 1/2second later couldn't get either one out of a tree til we figured out we both had the same fish!After we got him in the boat we removed both hooks!Nice 4lbr was hungry

Brother and I made casts near the same spot this past spring with bbhogs, both got bit and reeled in the same 3lb er both hooks in the mouth. Guess she was hungry or protective.

Good stories. Last year I caught a 7.5lber on Fork on a c-rig. Hooked her deep and cut the line rather than perform surgery on the fish. Caught the same fish the next day on a 10xd with the c-rig hook still in her throat.
