 Optimal settings for my Lowrance elite 7 hdi?

After gooogling and googling I can't find the best settings where the down imaging looks superb. Can anyone help me? Also would like the best settings for the whole unit in general. Any and all help is welcomed and appreciated!

I used to run one of these and found that in shallower water (10 or less) turn down to minus 2-5 but in deeper water you could turn up to higher. Also depends on if your HDI transducer is mounted inside the hull our outside.

My transducer is mounted on my trolling motor.

My transducer is mounted on the outside of my boat by the motor to the side.
I love largemouth bass!
