in freshwater fishing this is frowned upon. In saltwater fishing, this happens more than you think. Especially when fishing for large species like Shark, Tuna, Grouper and others...

No, not very often here on Fork. I'm not saying it doesn't happen but occasionally with kids if the fishing is tough. Most of the guides either don't fish, throw "off pattern" or fish when the customers are not the greatest fishermen in order keep spirits high. These guys are professionals and can flat catch fish better than guys like us.

I cut my hooks often and when I get a bite I pull the bait out and tell them to cast to the spot works most of the time.
