I love to catfish. The only problem is I just got a boat so now I am mobile. I am used to just fishing off of the bank. I fish Richland Chambers. Now that I am mobile can anyone help me on boat ramps and places to fish? I will be going around March 9. So given the weather and all any info will help

Do I just need to get in a cove somewhere and use stink bait? Or find some brush or stumps? Also if the wind is blowing w should I be on the West Bank with the wind blowing towards me or on the e bank with the wind at my back? Any info is helpful

Use your boat to go get shad, if you have never used a cast net get one and learn on youtube/online articles and how to find shad. You can drop a sack of range cubes in a few spots if you just want some small keepers. If you want bigger ones, the big blues are still chasing fish on shallow mudflats. Find a mudflat in 4-10 ft of water and set up shop with lines in all directions closer to the outside edge of the flat. If you don't get bit in 30min move. Find a flat near rip rap and you're almost guaranteed to get some, find a flat next to rip rap where the wind is blowing into it, then you've got a really good shot at a trophy.

So then use a weight and fish the shad on bottom or use a cork?
