I would appreciate any help on hook size and type for Galveston Bay. Circle/Treble- Size? any info would be helpful. I used to go with a buddy who would use nothing but #6 treble under popping corks. we caught fish but was wondering about circles and other methods.

Thanks,
Charlie fish

depends on what size fish and methods you are using.

I don't like the trebles for live shrimp. I've been using 1/0 Khale Gamakatsus for live shrimp. 2/0 for redfish if Im in areas that have more reds.

You can use circle hooks in the same size for trout, reds, and flounder. If you are going for Bull Reds or Big Uglies then you might go up to a 4/0 or 5/0 for that.
