Any of you guys fishing the trinity in/near fw? Saw a guy pull up a 40lb blue cat on Saturday and a guy in a litlle bass buster had a stringer of channels. I personally wouldn't eat them but to each their own. However I wouldn't mind hooking up with one of them this was towards towards ohio garden

Trinity Park was stocked with blues a few months back, but I think they've been putting trout in lately. I'm sure the blues are still out there. Use a 6/0 or larger circle hook and give it a shot.

Go any day between a trout stocking and 1 week later. Some of the big blues and flatheads in the area will feed on the trout because they are constantly swimming and easy to ambush, use big pieces of shad or big live shad or sunfish. Don't spend too long with a line in one spot, they may not be moving as much just waiting to ambush. Also the small/medium sized cats will be attracted by people cleaning the trout on the banks and will stay in the area.
