To clarify something on fish airing up. The fizzing system works just find on fish caught between 10 and 25 ft. That seems to be the magic depth and may need to be done twice during the day. When you get past that range say 40 to 60 ft. fizzing continues to be a problem all day long. In tournaments these fish may or may not make the weigh-in alive. I have found that doing the fizzing too many times increases the mortality rate. Many times you will see a little blood when you remove the needle; so there is a lot more internal bleeding going on. As many times as I have done it, on occasions this still happens.

I have been successful clipping the fish up on the BRICK system and putting the fish back to the depth caught. Then bring the fish up in 10 ft. intervals leaving them at that depth for about 3 minutes then come up another 10 ft. and wait another 3 minutes. This is just time consuming on a 50 ft. deep catch and out of the question during tournaments. Even doing this is no guarantees; you still may have to fizz the fish, but usually once is all it takes.

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.

What about flip clips. I used them on fish out of 34' last week. They all made it.
