What are the park hours? Been a long time since I've been out there. Their website says they don't open until April.

I'll give you a report on my day. I scoped out a couple spots I've been eyeing on Google maps, but I first got my lines wet at tickey. I had a total of 5 runs and 2 landed at tickey the first being 5 lbs and the 2nd was about 8 lbs. Didn't get anymore action after 10 and decided to go to the Lucas bridge. I put my line in the water and within 2 minutes I had a run and it was a nice one, measured 38 inches, I'll get a pic posted. My girlfriend called right in the middle of the action and decided then she could bare the cold and wanted me to come get her. I picked her up we went straight back to the bridge and didn't get a bite and we left at 6. Once the wind stopped so did my bites. But it was an awesome day and I can't wait to hit it again this week!!!! Thanks again guys for all the advice it was Tremendous help!!!!

I took the kiddo out to Tickey Creek park Saturday morning. Got out there about 7am and fished with chicken breast until 9:30pm. No bites. Threw the cast net and didn't get any shad. With the way the wind had been, I was expecting to be busy keeping bait on my lines. At least I got to spend some time with the kiddo.

It was strange Saturday. I managed six out of my kayak but expected more. For some reason I did not gragh any bait or fish in less than 14 fow, and really did not see much until I hit 24 feet. That must be why you blanked. My fish came from 27-29 fow but I was down at Little Ridge. Bait was as deep as 41 feet. Maybe it's the full moon.

i did go to highland park on Sat. fished from 8 to 11. managed to get one nice size channel cat on shrimp which was C&R to another fisherman who had a nice blue and channel of his own. it was very slow for sure..

I am thinking i am going to hit little ridge or ticky next time.

I may give it a try in a few weeks, once it warms up a little.

I went out last Wednesday night to highland and was skunked. Went out Sunday after the race for about an hour and a half at the Highland boat ramp and was skunked again. Going to try and get out again sometime on thursday so hopefully the luck will change.
