Brand new zx skeeter boat with standard pole that comes with it. Added a 2nd pole. 3 trips out on the water right side tube blew off pump, soaked compartment with fluid, and took forever to get it to raise. Took it in and got it fixed. 2 trips later the left side did same thing. Took it to get it worked on, they fixed it and 4 trips after that the left pump goes out completely. They have fixed them each time but it's useless when you got to take them every 4 or 5 times to get them fixed. Thing is they were only used a handful of times on the lake each outing

Tubing blowing off the fitting is a quality of installation problem. Don't blame Power Pole (company) for that. Most of your troubles are due to whoever installed the system. Any improperly installed joint in high pressure hydraulics (of any type) will not last long, as you discovered.

That's installation problem. As far as a pump completely going out, I've never seen it. Doesn't mean I won't today or tomorrrow. There are two common "problems" with powerpoles. Improperly installed connections coming apart, and the wireless remotes loosing signal. Usually you can turn the breaker off and back on, which will usually fix the later problem.

In answer to the original question, I bought mine through Hydrilla Gear, several good dealers on TFF though.

Amen to that. A hose popping off makes them bad?

I have had mine for 3 years with zero problems, I did the install. Well I take that back, I had to put a battery in my remote on my console.

If a hydraulic pump is run dry for any amount of time it will be damaged, due to the fluid is the lubrication for the pump.
