Drove up sat morning to scout it out. Friend been catching in afternoon. We didn't fish long just messing around. 3 dinks. Nice to see water up. 4 yrs ago last time I went. Water is a lot higher now than then. I believe the late bite is where it is now. So sleep in and plan accordingly. Just my opinion.

Plenty of water at the ramp but not sure how far the ramp is in the water. Sure would be nice if they extended the ramp when Buchanan was 30 plus feet low but doubtful. I have put a 21'Triton in their in years past with out any problems.

I was there yesterday. If I remember correctly it is around 10' by the ramp. The problem with the ramp is it is narrow and steep. I'm not sure how far the ramp goes out. One guy had a little trouble getting out with his boat after the ramp got wet from the rain. I thought about taking my 18' Xpress and decided to take the kayaks instead.

Is it crowded in the river during day time around state park already ? I am thinking of heading that way for friday-saturday trip . Was thinking of trying for some cats and whites ? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Caught 45 this afternoon fishing from 3:30-6:30 p.m.
Used a Clouser on the long rod. Probably 10-12 would have measured short. All fish released to fight another day.

Heading out in the morning for 3 night 4 day camping/yak fishing. Was there 3 weeks ago and limited out both days of fishing. Hope this little cool front didn't hurt anything but either way, I'm ready for hanging out and camping and will give it my best! Will give report when I get back!

Also heading out in the morning for an overnight stay. I was there three weeks ago and did not do very good. I'm hoping for twice as much this time.
