I'd definitely buy a Lews and maybe the Revo S then you will know which you prefer long term as you grow your collection.

I've really enjoyed my Lews BB1. Bought a super duty not long ago for my a-rig rod and am loving it as well.

Out of those I would pick the Lews. You should look at the Shimano Casitas as well. Great reel for the money!

Of the listed reels I'd say lews, too many thumb bar problems with abu.

Add Shimano Caenan to your list. Incredible smooth reels.

I have not owned an Abu for at least 30'years. Owned a lot of Lews, and still do.
Get the Lews or the Abu. I've heard they have interchangeable parts. And are made in the same factory.

Speed spools are awesome for about the first 30 minutes. Then they start doing crazy stuff. I'd stay away. That's been my experience also. The high end/high dollar products offered by most companies will be good. Much more difficult to make a quality product for a low amount of $.

you can't go wrong with the Revo. I bought one eight years ago and its still going strong. Highly recommend it.

Lew's all day. There's a reason so many guys have switched over to Lew'sin the last 2 or 3 years, their reels are hard to beat for value. 10,000,000 "field staffers" they added definitely aided sales. Lol

Picked up a couple of the Carbonlite combos at BPS, hopefully they will be worth the $99 each. Ended up using my points and the giftcard that I got from the Garmin and bought a Revo SX. Not in the sub $100 range I posted originally, but just drawn to Abu for some reason. I guess unless The Qualifier changes me, I'll be an Abu man until they fail me. Appreciate the feedback.

I was a Shimano guy for years. But after buying my first Lews, I wouldn't buy anything but a Lews..... 3 years of Lews with ZERO issues...
