Went to the lake for the first time this week. I had heard there is a Zebra Mussel problem there. The visibility was 18" on average. I'm thinking because of the high water it is not as clear as it will get. I'd like to hear from regulars to the lake, is 18" visibility the norm?

There are certain creeks that will have clearer water than others on that lake. Not hard to figure out just by driving around and taking a quick look.

Yes the lake gets pretty clear compared to other lakes in the area.

when there is grass in Sand I've seen 6ft + visibility

Summer time not much wind and no rain for a while you can get 3-4ft. visibility. This year with all the flooding it has stayed kinda stained.

With grass and no rain and low winds it can get very clear 7-8 ft visibility but I imagine 3-4 ft will be as clear as it will get this year.

what lake doesn't have a zebra mussel problem

When I think zebra mussels effecting water clarity I was thinking Roberts gets clear like lake Ontario or Erie where you get 20' visibility. Thanks for clearing that up...pun intended.

I bet last year before the floods came it was at least 8 feet, it was crazy.

You will lucky to have 2 foot visibility this year.
