 She wanted to go try for some crappie this afternoon?

Wife texts me while I'm at work and says "Hey, lets go see if the crappie have moved in yet. Its been pretty warm!". So, went and got her a dozen minnows, and off we went. Started off really shallow and nothing, not even a nibble. Then moved to the end of the pier where there are some brush piles. She was fishing in about 8ft of water, about 18 in deep, using the ol' zebco slingshot. Drag set real light!  Then the shad started poppin all over the place. Next she tries a small swim bait!  Sorry, No crappie shallow yet, but she had a blast. (don't even ask what I caught)

Pure sweetness right there. I love it when my wife wants to go fishing... she will out fish me every time, while talking trash.
The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?
