I mean I know it's light but might give the added load in the rod to cut the wind. Gee I see how bored I am truck giving me issues so just going thru old stuff trying to find something to discuss. I got part one of it fixed yesterday I think it's about time for a 60 day in a row beating of the Sandbass. This has been killing me!

I know what you mean. I just retired from the military. After 27 years I find myself board around the house, Start working again on Sunday, so my fishing will slow down some. It's part time, so it wont be to bad.

Some folks don't like grass carp...but on a fly rod, especially a 3 wt fly rod, they are about the top of the scale for freshwater game fish.

This one was taken on a 3 wt custom rod made by Pea Row. The picture was taken after dark because it took that long to land the 20 pound fish (as measured on Boga).

LOL the fish was all muddy from the fight...but you should have seen me, LOL, much worse.

WOW! what fly did it hit? I have tried and tried to catch one of those but never have. I got one on my 4 weight at Purtis Creek State Park. It hit a black gurgler. I fought it over an hour; got it to my kayak but it flounced off at the last moment, but what a fight!!!!-p-

It hit a Prince Nymph that I was using on 'gills. #8

That, my friend, is a testament to your rod building skills....and maybe a little of my fishing landing skills, LOL. It took at least 90 minutes, maybe more, cause it was light when I started and pitch black dark when it ended.

They are a great sport fish, no doubt.

This one is the largest I've actually landed on my TFO Finesse 3wt. LMF last Saturday evening (2-13-15) I didn't weigh or measure it as I wanted her back in the river asap. The other picture is my better half as she keeps me on my toes every time we go. She uses a TFO 5wt but I wanted to share her picture too. She's a trooper for following me all over the place......

Cabela's Three Forks/Prestige Plus Fly Combo 8'6" 4 piece 4wt. Spring of 2008, I had an amazing day fly fishing Buckner's creek in LaGrange. I landed 3-4 nice catfish and had one break off. They were smashing a bead head bugger. I didn't use a landing net back then, so I was a nervous wreck by the time I landed one of these cats.
