 Got my biggest bass to date and out of my Kayak

After lurking here a couple months reading everything i could i purchased my first kayak last week was my first trip out and caught some. yesterday i went out in 22 foot of water sitting in my emotion mojo angler i seen a bass hit the top of the water i knew then to cast in the same spot. i was using a 6-6 IM8 rod with a shimano sienna 4000 with 10 lb berkley big game she hit it and the fight was on i got video as i have 2 cameras mounted on my yak an epic HD on the right side and a vivitar 786HD mou nted to my scotty rod holder for pictures. this is my biggest bass ever i still have gotten the picture taking down yet as this camera has a remote between the remote handling the fish i didnt manage good quality but i got some pictures.

Welcome to the addiction and congrats on a nice one.  I have fished from shore and from an 18" skeeter but I still enjoy catching bass from the yak 10X better than either.

what im learning is i can creep into spots that i couldnt in a canoe jon boat or bass boat. im already looking at getting a second one. i can throw it in my truck and go, it allows me to fish some really remote public ponds im addicted for sure

The lake is at the Kit mconnico ball park i dont know if it has a name but its public fishing a perfect place to take a kayak and learn the ins and outs of kayaking. i found it last year while on the mountain trails riding my Trek. after catching some 5 lbers from the bank i started thinking of a kayak an inflatable or using float tubes as only a small portion of it is accesible due to briars and high grass. i took a machette and cut a couple spots to fish along the bank thank god i dont have to bank fish because there is no access to the back parts of it, now i can paddle around to those spot. one of my favorite places to go. it has good channel cat and some huge bream as well. most people fish for the catfish or bream however im after the bass catch and release only for me. as i enjoy the fight
