I just wanted to post something to thank all of you who helped put on the guide tournament on Lake Fork. Y'all did a great job and I appreciate it. I also want to congratulate Gary on the win. Yesterday was a tough day for me. We were fishing in the back of Glade in 1' - 4' of water with a 3/8 oz Chatterbait up in the grass. We had 4 fish. The water we were fishing warmed up to 53 and I felt the fish were still in there. The water temps dropped and I fished it too fast. When these water temps come up, those fish are going to turn back on. I'm not fishing Bass Champs this year so if y'all are looking to book a trip before the tournament I have some days open. Thanks again for putting on a great event, E

Went out for a half day trip and the water temps started out at 50 and made it up to 58 by early afternoon. We caught five fish some good unders and small slot. We are fishing 1'-4' of water with a white chatterbait. I'm finding these fish right next to timber with some hydrilla and some mixed grass. I will be doing another half day trip and will update this post. Hope this will help y'all coming to the lake this weekend. I still have days open before Bass Champs. Thanks, E

This is the Guide you need to hire. He is the only guide I use any more. You never have to worry about your trip cut short. He lives on the lake and I always catch fish. He is great with kids and when it comes to sight fishing you want to be in his boat. you guys that need under tournament fish Eric is a good investment. If you need a great young guide that works hard for YOU give Eric a try you cant go wrong.

I've fished with Eric. Sight fishing with him was a real learning experience. As stated he did not cut us short and he worked to get us some hook sets. Once he got us on fish he did not fish he just helped.

Last update for this post - It's still a little slow, but it's getting better. Temp was 52 this morning and it warmed up to 60. These big fish are starting to chew. Caught this 9 on a white chatterbait 3/8 oz up shallow. I will get a full report up here soon.

Here's the full report I put together guys and I hope the information in this thread helps y'all out. Just to let y'all know we had 15 today on Lake Fork and Chris caught big fish on a weightless fluke. Lake Fork Report 2/18/16 The bite is still a little slow but its getting better with every warm day. The water temps in the morning are around 52 degrees then as it warms up throughout the day the temps by the evenings have been around 60 degrees. I am catching most of my better fish in 1 to 5 of water in creeks that they seem to move up on beds first. In these spots, I am fishing a 3/8 ounce Chatterbait (white) with a Skinny Dipper (white) for the trailer. As it warms up I am fishing a weightless fluke on a #3 rigging hook in (watermelon magic or watermelon candy) with a dipped chartreuse tail. I also want to let the anglers who are fishing tournaments know that I am still catching some of my unders out in 30 on a drop shot with a 3/8 ounce weight, a #1 rigging hook with about a 2 foot leader. This leader is set a little longer than usual for me. To catch these fish Im really not having to work the bait much, Im almost just dragging it.
