It's a lousy cropped cell phone pic, but here is a bobcat I ran into exiting a creek off of Ray Roberts about 3 months ago. He disappeared into the woods and I did look over my shoulder once or twice walking along the creek lol

Pretty animals, I like seeing them because they're usually pretty elusive. They pose basically no danger to humans.

Cougar was killed just outside of glen rose last year or year before last. With a 100 mile home range and green belts and creek beds loaded with prey off limits to hunting. I'm sure there are a few that have learned to live around the development unseen right in the heart of the metro mess.

A cougar was spotted close to 66 and John King in Rockwall a couple of years ago. They follow the creek systems.
