I fished it Sunday from a kayak while the water was off. I got about 6 fish that were between 16 and 19 inches, and one big girl that was 33"/19 pounds.

Awesome! What did it eat and where in the water column did you hook it?

I was dragging an A-rig right off the bottom. Several of the smaller fish that day had muddy bellies. Don't recall seeing that before. Water was 45-46 deg.

A few from time to time. I try pretty hard to get them back when I get hung up!

I want to take my yak up there but do not know where to launch it. Where did you launch yours at?

Lots of fun in the yak. Oklahoma side on the beach. Can't miss it. You need an OK license to fish from a boat/yak on the Red, fyi.

The posted generation schedule,http://www.swt-wc.usace.army.mil/power/hydropower.html#Day%200, is usually correct, but not always. Today the schedule said that there was to be no generation today, but when I got there at 9:30 there were two units running. I called the dam office, 903-465-1491, and the recorded message said that they would run two units until 11:00 am, then shut them down until 4:00pm. They did shut them down at 11:00, but they blew the horn at 3:30 and started generating at 3:45.

I was fly fishing out of my float tube and caught 8 stripers to 1.5# and one small sandbass.
