10lb test is for spinning rods only IMO. That and like stated earlier, if you don't properly wet your line when cinching, it can really weaken the line right about the knot.

BIg fish have big SHARP teeth patches and can cut thru 10lb line in heartbeat and more so if you played them for a while. The line sawing across those sharp edges will do a job on it. Joe Pool has enough color to the water to fish a heavier line. I would save the 10lb stuff for fishing really clear water and more open lakes.
John K Fontenot Diapers and Politicians need to be changed often; and for the same reason.

Have used this line for many years and never had breakage issues. In fact I need to use a bar to break it when hung up.

I do like P-Line CXX X-Strong but wanted to try the CX Premium. I am switching back to CXX. As for patience, not a problem there, caught an 11lb bass on 8lb test P-Line fluoro and spinning gear. Thanks for all the responses and suggestions, that's why I frequent this forum.

I toyed around with the lighter fluorocarbon on a bait caster and could not find a brand that didn't have breakage issues, particularly when casting. What I do may not work in your area, but I use mono for anything less than 20 lb on a bait caster.
